The active UPA-2P delivers high output, low distortion and consistent polarity in a compact package. The UPA-2P offers exceptional fidelity and power with highly structured, symmetric coverage, and is suitable for a wide variety of applications including center clusters for nightclubs or theater sound systems and delayed fill systems.
The extremely soft and predictable 45-degree horizontal and 45-degree vertical Constant Q horn, combined with a 1.4-inch output and the 3-inch diaphragm compression driver give very high tones. The result of intensive research, the patented radiation behavior of the UPA-2P horn remains within close tolerances in the horizontal and vertical surfaces with minimal lateral lobing. A sturdy 12-inch driver in a ventilated housing reproduces low to medium frequencies.
The UPA-2P is doubly amplified by an integral two-channel class AB / bridged amplifier with complementary MOSFET power amps. The maximum output is 700 watts or 350 watts per channel. Phase-corrected electronics provide flat phase and amplitude response, with exceptional impulse response and accurate imaging as a result. The UPA-2P also incorporates Meyer Sound’s intelligent AC system, which automatically selects the correct voltage, compensates for voltage fluctuations, filters EMI, and allows a soft turn on.
The UPA-2P is compatible with Meyer Sound’s RMS Remote Monitoring System, which enables monitoring of the main parameters of a Windows-based network.
